Opening TCP: Open TCP through the Control Panel: To open TCP, click the Apple, then Control Panels, and finally TCP, as shown below.
The TCP configuration dialogue opens, as shown below. Configure TCP for DSL: Here is the main screen of TCP. Tip:
Can't make changes? Fields grayed out? You may need to be in Administrator
mode.
The two fields at the top determine how TCP acts on your computer. Connect via = Choose Ethernet if you are connecting to DSL at home. Configure = Choose DHCP Server for typical DSL setups. Click the Options button for some extra settings. There should be a dot in front of Active, and a checkmark for Load only when needed. Tip:
No "Options" button? Fields grayed out? You may need to be in
Administrator mode.
Click OK when you've finished. Then close TCP to complete the configuration. |
